Unskilled Butcher

Thrive Shepton are delighted to be working with our client in Yetminster, who are actively recruiting for Unskilled Butcher on a temporary to permanent basis to join the team.

Responsibilities:

• Cut, trim and prepare lamb to the required standards
• Ensure strict adherence to quality, animal welfare and ethical procedures
• Follow traceability processes and ensure labelling integrity is maintained
• Comply with company policies and procedures relating to safe food handling and hygiene at all times
• Meet required production standards and deadlines
• Seek training to maintain and develop skills and remain up to date with best practice
• Carry out all tasks in a safe manner in accordance with Health & Safety responsibilities
• Undertake any other reasonable requests as required

Do you have:

• The ability to work under your own initiative
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A high level of attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed operating procedures
• The ability to follow instructions, particularly those relating to personal Health & Safety and the wearing of PPE
• Good physical fitness, as the role involves a substantial amount of physical activity
• A can-do attitude with good communication skills
• A basic understanding of verbal and written English
• A desire to progress, develop and advance within the business

Working Hours:

• 0630-1700 - Monday to Friday
• Including 2 x 30-minute breaks
